I just built a new DAW (see my sig) and I have zero problems running with my audio driver buffers at 32 and Studio One set to 32. That said, I use Reaper to test when I do have problems and it is always the same as Studio One in terms of latency.įor the chunk of change you just dropped and seeing how Studio One is your preferred DAW I would have looked in to Presonus gear that seamlessly integrates with everything.Īnd why on Earth would you drop all that money and then try to run it all on an AMD? Has there been any word from the Dev's if they are working on this?Īs much as I am a S1 fanboy I simply can't deal with this shortcoming for a live performance rig. What's the deal with Studio Ones really poor performance in this area? I was shocked that I could run the same plugins at 32 samples without Reaper breaking a sweat. Well after doing some research I became aware of Reapers ability to perform at very low latency so I downloaded it and gave it a try. Being a keyboardist and sourcing all my sounds thru vsti's I find running at 128 effects my timing. The best latency I can get running all this is 128 samples. The interface is a Rednet pcie Dante cart linked into a Behringer x32 with Studio One controlling the mix, Vsti's, Lights, monitor mixes, and sending a click to the drummer so he keeps sync with the show.
